NOuRISH EATERY

Inspired by the bounty, beauty, and history of the islands, Chef Maureen Cubbon and the culinary team at Nourish (our in-house dining experience) are passionate about pairing high-quality, whole ingredients with classic and contemporary techniques. 


The Nourish team works with local & regional suppliers to source the finest and freshest ingredients. Their goal is to take guests on a journey, creating memories that are as exciting as our surroundings. Senses are elevated and the food presentation is modern, relaxed, and approachable.

MEET OUR CHEF

Maureen Cubbon is an award winning chef achieving first place in the Food & Wine Cayman Cookout Amateur Chef Competition in 2013 cooking for the likes of Eric Ripert, Anthony Bourdain, Jose Andres and His Excellency the Governor Mr. Duncan Taylor. She was the representing chef for the Cayman Islands at Caribbean Culinary Week in New York 2018 and at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen 2019.

FOOD EXPERIENCES

At VIDA, we tell the story of the land and sea through our culinary experiences that reflect the origins of the food, promoting a greater appreciation for the land and the people who cultivate it. Our approach means we feast on local fare that is provided from sustainable sources, inspired by the changing seasonal harvest. 

FARM TO FORK FEASTS

VIDA farm-to-fork feast is a culinary experience that uses fresh locally sourced and seasonal ingredients from local farmers, purveyors and fisherman. Prepared and served family style the aim is to highlight Cayman & Caribbean inspired dishes and flavors whilst promoting sustainable agriculture and supporting local businesses and artisans.


The concept aims to connect diners with the origins of their food, promoting a greater appreciation for the land and the people who cultivate it. VIDA Farm-to-fork feasts are always hosted outdoors in a relaxed, rustic and communal dining style. Space is limited and reservations are always required. 

HANDS ON COOKERY CLASSES

Our cookery classes provide a hands-on culinary experience focused on highlighting all things Cayman & teaching participants how to prepare delicious meals with little fuss. Step by step guidance & discussions about where our food comes from, creating a burst of flavors and igniting your inner chef is the goal! Classes are approximately 2 hours long and includes a 3-course meal and wine. Space is limited, and reservations are always required.

Vida supports food and beverage partners that align with our sustainable vision. It is our intenton to provide a holistc and authentc wellness experience for our guests and uphold the three pillars of corporate sustainability: the environmental, the socially responsible, and the economic.


We understand food providers to Vida may not always be in direct control of all the environmental and social impacts made by the suppliers and sub-contractors they use, however we do expect them to be informed and educated about the importance of sustainability and the positve impact adopting these practices can have.

VIDA is located in the entrance of Barkers National Park, the untouched West Coast of Grand Cayman. Travel only 20 minutes from Owen Roberts International Airport to our remote sanctuary.
