  • Check In/ Check Out Time

    Check-in time is 3:00 PM, and Check-out time is 11:00 AM

    We will always make every effort to accommodate early and later room access. 


  • Age Restriction

    The minimum age for check-in is 21


  • Is there WiFi in the Hotel?

    Yes, WiFi is provided in all the bedrooms and public areas. 

  • What to bring to the Cayman Islands?

    There is no dress code at VIDA Hotel, and Cayman is a very relaxed and relatively informal destination.  We want you to feel at home, but remember, the weather is warm all year round, with our summers being hotter and more humid. We suggest bringing comfortable summer clothes, swimwear, resort wear, sandals, and open shoes are suitable. 


    If you plan to join our adventure & wellness packages, you will need sportswear, clothing suitable for exercising in hot weather, and training shoes.


  • Can I drink tap water in the room?

    Yes, the water is safe to drink, and at VIDA, we have water refill stations on every floor. We have a zero one-time-use plastic policy and ask all our guests to bring water bottles of use VIDA water bottles. 


  • How often are towels and bed linen changed?

    VIDA has a firm commitment to operating as sustainably as possible, and we generally look to change bed linens and towels once every three days. However, if you would like your bed linen changed more frequently or if you require clean towels, please let us know, and we would be very happy to accommodate you.


  • Is Gratuity Included?

    Yes, gratuity is included in our rates, and you are welcome to reward staff separately for exceptional service if you wish.


  • Voltage in the Cayman Islands

    The voltage in Cayman is 125V, and a hairdryer is provided in all bedrooms. VIDA can also provide any adapters or chargers you might have forgotten to pack. 


  • Are the kids welcomed at VIDA?

    We love children of all ages, but VIDA is not suitable for small children and infants. Our adventure and wellness packages are not suitable for young children, and we really hope you all understand. 


    Children aged 12 years and above are welcome to stay in any of our rooms with a signed liability waiver from an accompanying parent or guardian. Children must always be supervised. 


    In special circumstances, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us and ask if we might be able to accommodate any young ones in your party by emailing [email protected]


  • Can I smoke at VIDA?

    VIDA has been designed to promote health and well-being, so we do not allow smoking in bedrooms or public areas. You are welcome to smoke in the designated public spaces and the bedroom balconies. Please note that we ask that you let us know if you intend to smoke on the bedroom balconies’ so we can provide ashtrays etc. Smoking in bedrooms will lead to a deep cleaning fee with no exceptions.  

  • Can I use a drone at VIDA?

    For the safety and privacy of our guests, VIDA prohibits the operation of aerial surveillance systems or drones on or above the property.


  • Are there any grocery & liquor stores close to VIDA?

    There are grocery shops 10-15 min by car, and we can assist in organizing transport if needed. 


  • Are there restaurants close to VIDA?

    Nourish Restaurant is on-site and provides breakfasts & lunches on a daily basis. In the evenings, Nourish will host organic cooking classes and farm-to-table feasts, and when these events are not happening, we will provide a variety of boards for our guests to choose from.  Nourish can also provide packed lunches and private chefs (subject to availability). 


    Pappagallo’s, a fine-dining Italian restaurant, is located across the road, and we highly recommend dining there during your visit. Other local restaurants include NOVA, VIVO, Bacarro, TUKKA West, Calypso Grill, and Morgans, and our Guest Relations Team will be happy to assist you in finding suitable restaurants and making reservations.


  • Is VIDA dog friendly?

    Yes, we love and welcome most dogs. Please get in touch with our Guest Relations Team to get more information via email at [email protected]

  • How can I book activities, packages, tours, and restaurant reservations?

    At VIDA, we aim to ensure our guests have the best and easiest organized vacation ever. Our Guest Relations Team is here to make all bookings and reservations for you, so please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask them to help. 


  • Do I need to bring my own yoga mats, beach towels, exercise and water sports equipment?

    VIDA will provide yoga mats, bolsters, straps, beach towels, picnic blankets, and water bottles and can arrange the rental of pretty much all water sports equipment, including kiteboards, harnesses, kites, paddle boards, dive equipment, etc. 


  • Can VIDA organize airport pick-up or transfers?

    Yes, our Guest Relations team will want to confirm your flight number and arrival time, and we will happily arrange to collect you or arrange a taxi to meet you. If you need assistance with car rental, please also get in touch with our Guest Relations team @ [email protected]


  • How close is VIDA to the beach?

    VIDA has direct access to Barkers Beach via a jungle path, and this beach is very quiet and tranquil. It is not the best beach to swim at, but it provides lovely long beach walks and has excellent views. Barkers Beach is a fantastic location to explore, learn to kite, or go horseback riding. 


    Seven Mile Beach is a 10-minute drive away, and while Seven Mile Beach is much busier, we would encourage you to visit Seven Mile Beach at least once during your visit.  Cayman has many other beaches, and we would be delighted to arrange island tours or transport.
